Cut card stock Gray Granite 5 ½ x 8 ½
and score at 4 ¼
-
Cut Whisper White card stock 4 x 5 ¼
and scallop the edge with the die from Hippo & Friends Dies.
-
Cut print DSP 3 5/8 x 5 and adhere all of the liners to the card face
with snail.
-
From a piece of Whisper White Card
Stock, stamp the greeting as shown from the Prized Peony stamp set with Gray
Granite ink and cut out with the die from Hippo and Friends in the rectangular
shape.
-
Cut out the four pieces that make up
the Peony flower from the die set. Each piece fits INTO each other. Color with a dauber in Petal Pink ink and use
the Petal Pink blends to color in the flower.
Then take your bone folder and curl the ends of the flower petals so
they don’t lie flat against each other.
They should show some life and dimension on the face of the card. Once colored, attach them together using
snail.
-
Cut out 3 leaf patterns from the
Solid and partial leaf dies. The partial
leaf die cuts should be from Granny Apple Green card stock and the main leaf
structure should be cut from Pear Pizzazz card stock. Once cut, glue patterns together and add to
the back or sides of the peony flower.
-
Cut two labels from Petal Pink card
stock and Gray Granite card stock. Trim
the granite one so that it shows behind the flower and also shows part of the
Petal Pink label. This label is from
Hippo & Friends dies.
-
Split the Gray Granite label in two
pieces and arrange behind the peony flower and within the borders of the Petal
Pink label. Attach the labels together
with snail and attach the peony flower and the leaves with dimensionals.
-
Attach the flower and leaves to the granite
and petal pink labels and attach the labels to the front of the card with
dimensionals. Attach the greeting on white card
stock to the bottom of the card face with dimensionals.
-
Add a bow made from the Gray Granite
satin ribbon with glue dots.
INSIDE:
-
On Whisper White card stock, stamp
the inside greeting “Wishing You a Happy Birthday” from the Band Together stamp
set with Gray Granite ink. Stamp a
couple of the small peony flower images to the lower right of the card. Add leaves stamped in Pear Pizzazz. Color the flowers in with the ink on a dauber
in Petal Pink ink and add color with the Petal Pink Blends.
-
Attach a strip of DSP, 1 x 4, to the
lower edge of the card. In the middle
cut a strip of petal pink card stock ½ x 4.
Attach to the middle of the DSP and the card is complete.
