Happy Birthday With A Masculine Flavor

For anyone who is looking for a more masculine type of birthday card, I have the one for you.  Simple to make, it uses deeper masculine colors and images that appeal to men and especially boat lovers and those who love sailing and just enjoying the sea and everything that goes with it.
Here are the Stampin' Up products you may need if you would like to make this card now and in the future:

Floral Bendie Card

I find it fascinating that we can construct a card that stands on its own and keeps a bent shape that fits in a medium size envelope.  This is the card to which I refer.  This is one of two cards that will be made by my customers next Tuesday as they gather for class.  It is a relatively easy card to construct and even though it "bends", it folds flat into the envelope for ease in mailing.

I used the Timeless Love stamp from Stampin Up and cut the card stock with the imprinted flowers around the border.  The picture shows that the flowers are stamped in black ink but I think I would like to try using Black Embossing Powder next time to add more contrast when you color in the flowers.  I added the sentiment from Garden In Bloom to complete the look.  I think it looks very elegant and I would be very happy to receive this greeting.  Below you'll see the Stampin Up products I used to make this card and if you like you can order them from me to make your own bendie card.

Seniors Love Crafting

Seniors love crafting and since I go to the assisted living home once a month, I decided I would post the card we are making for the month of July.  They like " a little on the fancy side" cards but with their dexterity, I try to make it as simple as I can.  Here's what I came up with :

  • Used the blossom punch and cut down slits on each petal following the indentations of each petal.  Used the bone folder to curl the separated petals slightly to give them more dimension.
  • Card base = 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 in Whisper White Cardstock
  • Green Liner (Mint Macaron) = 4 x 5 1/4
  • White Small Mat = 4 1/4 x 2 1/2
  • Dotted Macaron DSP = 2 1/4 x 4 ( from the 2015 -2017 Designer Series Paper Stack)
  • Green Strip(Mint Macaron) = 1 1/4 x 4
  • Whisper White Strip = 1 x 3 3/4
  • "Best Thoughts" stamp set for the front card sentiment stamped in black ink
  • "Me = Grateful" stamp set for the inside sentiment stamped in Mint Macaron
  • Petite Petals punch for the two small flowers on the card face
  • Rhinestone Basic Jewels for the small flower accents.
  • Buttons from Sale A Bration
  • Whisper White Baker's Twine for the bow
Here are the Stampin Up Products I used to make this card.  You are welcome to order any of the products you may need from my store...hope you like the card and happy stamping..
