Spring Frame Project

Hello Everyone,

I am planning to do this Spring Frame project for my class on March 14th.  It is a 5 x 7 frame that is a shadowbox with about 3/4 inch of clearance.  It makes a very nice gift for someone's home, or your office, or for anyone  you need a homemade gift for.

The six panel template is six 2 inch squares that make the base of the vignette. I chose colors that repeat in the design of the square to line the 2 inch square, about 1/8 inch less in diameter than the first square.  Some of the designs are stamped but most of them are framelits that are cut or punched from card stock that depict something "spring".  I really didn't want to have an Easter feel but there is an Easter basket included as part of the spring vignette.  I suggest you make one and design your own vignettes to match your intended scheme or theme.

The best selling idea about making a frame is that the design is on cardstock and after the season is over, can be removed and the next season or theme can be inserted.  Hope you give it a try.

Until next time....

Sympathy Card in White Vellum with White Embossing Powder

Hello Everyone,

Thought I'd present to you the class card for this week...a beautiful, simple sympathy card done in all white.  The flowers were embossed with white embossing powder on vellum paper and hand cut to be placed on the face of the card base.  The "With Sympathy" stamp is simple...stamped with black ink and cut from one of the punches or framelits, the size depending on the size of the sentiment you used.  The card face was embossed  with a scalloped lacy textured embossing folder to add some texture to the front of the card.  All of the flowers were placed flat on the card face and the greeting was placed on dimensionals. This is an easy but beautiful way to express your condolences.
