Dandelion Wishes and Love What You Do Stamp sets

This card uses the "Bokeh" technique for the background.

This card's insert is also a bookmark.

Hello Everyone!
These are my class cards for this coming Tuesday.  The one in the bright pink colors is reflective of the "Bokeh" technique, which is a photography term that means "out of focus'.  This technique creates a unique background when used with multiple colors applied with a dauber or sponge.  I punched a template of circles of different sizes on a piece of scrap card stock.  I began using the light colors (Flirty Flamingo and Powder Pink) sweeping the inked dauber over the circle template until each circle was colored with ink.  Did this all over the card stock, ending up with white circles using the Craft White Ink from Stampin' Up.  I added some circles colored with Lovely Lipstick ink and I just love how it turned out.  I added the dandelions which were stamped from the Dandelion Wishes stamp set in white ink and added white embossing powder to really make the flowers "pop".  I think it's bright and beautiful and ready to bring a smile to someone who's under the weather.

The card on the right is a birthday sentiment greeting and the sentiment is covered with the small insert that slides out!!  It's a very simple card style, especially if you need to make many cards for a craft show or a holiday.  The measurements to this card are below:

Card base = 5 1/2 x 4 1/4
Mat layer = 4 x 5 1/4
White Layer (stamped surface) = 3 3/4 x 5
DSP/Card stock cut on an angle = 3 3/4 x 3 (Attach these to the front of the card only on the straight edges...do not glue the diagonal edge ..you won't be able to create the pocket.

For the Insert:
Card stock = 4 x 2 3/4
Liner (white) = 3 3/4 x 2 1/2

Stamp your inside greeting / sentiment and attach.  I added a loop of ribbon so that the recipient would know to pull up on it and added a bow with glue dots.  I think this card is great when you don't have a lot of time to made a cute greeting for someone special..
