The Christmas Cardinal-Christmas 2019

Let's start off the Christmas greeting card season with an iconic symbol...the beautiful cardinal.  Associated with the winter season, this card will be an easy one if you want to make many of the same card for giving this season.

This card used the "Toile Christmas" stamp and die collection.  Stamped the cardinal in black ink and cut it out with the cardinal die.  The branch that the cardinal is sitting on was stamped in black and cut out with the appropriate die and colored with Stampin' Up Blends Alcohol Pens.  The Blend colors I used were Dark and Light Real Red for the bird and Old Olive and Soft Suede for the branch and leaves and berries.  The greeting was stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink and cut with the die.  I also used a branch die and cut it out from Vellum paper to add a little "winter" to the scene.  It all rests on Whisper White card stock that was embossed with the "Tin Tile" embossing folder.  I added a Cherry Cobbler liner on Whisper White card base...and there you have it...the Christmas Cardinal card, ready to send.

  3. is this a postcard? Perhaps the concept of a postcard for me carries a completely different, so to speak, character. In fact, I like this "postcard", but perhaps the cardinal's beak should have been made not so bright yellow, but this is my personal opinion. My painting skills are not superior to my writing skills, so I turn to professional writers so that I have more free time.
